Bob has volunteered in many social justice endeavours including making poverty history, (with electoral campaigns), the environmental movement, and the veg*n movement over the last 15 years.

In 2009, Bob set up V Stars (Veg*n) in Sydney Australia, as a platform to encourage more people, with respect, to move to the meat-free direction. V Stars works collaboratively with the vegan & vegetarian societies in Australia as well as other environmental groups. V Stars supports the plant-based movement from the ground to the gut.

Bob was introduced to the IVU in 2012 at the World Veg Festival. He presented on the 5 reasons people are moving to the Veg*n direction. In Nov 2012, SEAVC, he presented about wellness in the Veg*n communities. In 2013, at the World Veg Fest in KL, Malaysia, Bob presented on how to build vibrant communities, with plant-based businesses.

In 2015, Bob & V Star members helped host the World Veg Festival in Australia, collaborating with existing festivals in Sydney and Melbourne.

Coinciding with the World Veg Festival, V Stars created the Vegpledge.org.au in Australia.

In 2015, Bob held a forum for Veg*n society leaders. The consensus was clear, the IVU or the veg*n societies to remain effective, need a clear value proposition and financial model to support endeavours. Otherwise, profit-driven ventures will capture public attention.

Valuing the rich history of the IVU for over 100 years, I am honoured to be nominated as part of the I-C to ensure the IVU stays relevant for the years ahead.

Bob is the Director of the Beta Catalyst Consulting – enabling businesses to distil their Purpose, People and Planet strategies to maximise Profits for the long term.

BCC aims to help plant-based business to reach more customers and maximise growth opportunities with more funding.
